For one up touring the SG would be a nice bike. I'd rather have the RK for two up touring. I've got an '07 RKC and just did my 25k service and 95% of those miles are two up touring.
How are ya my lil touring buddies??? Just a lil background, I currently have an 06 Heritage Softail Classic. Luv it, nothing wrong with it, like the styling a lot. I would like to trade it in however, for a touring bike. I guess I just would like to hear some input from the touring owners to get some feedback as I would like to add more power, a six speed tranny, true duals, etc. To do this on my current bike, it would cost as much as it would to trade and buy new.
I've always liked the styling of the RKC as it reminds me a lot of the Heritage in styling but I am digging the low slammed look of the SG. Any thoughts would be appreciated and hope to see ya on the road soon!
I had the same problem last fall. I went ahead and had the dealer makes changes to a RKC that was already on order but then changed my mind to a Street Glide at the last minute.
Everytime I saw a red Hot Sunglow SG it was like it was calling my name. I love the looks of the RKC but I'm glad I went with the SG.
I wish that I had your problem back in March
2007, because harley had been on strike and
my only choice were sportster, dyna super glide custom,
or custom colored road king classic
