just another gimmick. the engineers designed the motor to operate properly at extreme temperatures, why ya think they have a testing facility down near tempe/phoenix? everyone complained about the heat with the new twin cam when they first came out, and even more now. a dipstick ain't gonna make the motor run cooler, although it will cause a person to become paranoid about the numbers it displays. twin cam motors are so much more efficient at radiating heat, is why people are so concerned. lots more finning than the previous evo motors. if i were to spend the kind of money on an oil temp dipstick, i'd feel an obligation to read it every time i stop. thanks anyway, i prefer riding my bike rather than babysitting it. just my opinion.
