That makes no sense at all,"once a harley always a harley". What makes a harley then, what part of the bike?if you replace the fenders, the tank, the motor that are non harley parts how can you say once a harley always a harley?

Really, doesn't make any sense? Well go take a look at the title, and see what it says. Regardless of what you've put on it, in it, or around it. There's tons of Harley's running around with S&S Motors in them, and they might have a Baker tranny, or Rev Tech, or whatever.... when somebody asks what kind of bike they're riding, what do you think they say? Go try and sell it, insure it, or otherwise transfer the title. IT'S STILL A HARLEY!! I stand by my original statement. Now maybe if you replace the frame, different engine, trans, tank, lights, fenders, etc.... Then it's not a Harley. It's a ground up build. Never was a Harley, and it never will be. This is really pretty simple.

Its a retuned V Max motor. They shine above 80 mph is what I hear, but nothing down low.

No use in arguing with him...the OP asked everyone's opinion, but then didn't actually want to hear them, and apparently trivial facts like which company manufactured the vehicle are irrelevent...

From now on my Harley is no longer a Harley..."Road King, I now dub thee to be a 'Vandelay Industries Starduster 5000'!"

If the engine block is HD - then it's a HD IMO.

Thank you KWB. He really didn't want an answer, just wanted to ask the question and then tell us his opinion. I'm done here.....

True, but the factory model you buy does NOT have the work done to get the most out of that engine unless you buy a Screaming Eagle model. And, Harley engines have gotten bigger through the years so 96" is not a magic number that cannot be changed. If you can buy a Harley off the floor and tweak it to get more horsepower with reworked heads, pistons, cams, pipes, air intake, fuel mapping technology (powercommander).....Why don't they do some of that for us in the factory and deliver the best 96 ci V Twin they can? Pumping 70 hp out of a 96" is not the best they could do with that engine.

Yep, the title don't lie!
