I am counting on everyone wanting the new 2010 RG. I can get a better deal on the 2009 model. Or I can wait to see if Harley has a Mid Year release of the FLTRU.
I can live with almost all of the changes made for 2010. I just hate the new rear fascia.
No passenger floorboard and the bad seat. No longer a touring machine for the long haul with a partner. Don't like the painted saddlebag latches either. I'll keep mine.
I like the new RG Custom. Something different. Just look at the SUCCESS of the Street Glide. Its the same bike with a different fairing. I think HD has a WINNER here. Time will tell....... hdman
They had to leave it there so all the babies who don't like 2-1 exhaust can put true duals on it, or the "great" 2-1-2 system.
Steve
dont get me wrong, the first thing i would do is get rid of that fart can and get a muffler on the left side, i just thought the strap hanging down there all empty was tacky.
It's a Street Glide with a sharknose fairing is how I see it.
Anyone else notice that there is a "Sidecar" option for the RG Custom?? How many will be ordering sidecars? Too few colors, too bland and too drab pinstripes. I don't like the 2-1 single muffler, don't like the small bottom mounted taillight, don't like all the corner cutting (lets just use a street glide and add a fairing) approach. Thanks Harley, you saved me from wanting to possibly "trade up." All thats available is a trade down..
Even the sales guy who I bought My 08 Roadglide from said they were gone for 2010.I read it on this forum several times. It just goes to show you that only H.D. knows and they won't tell till its time.Long live the Roadie!
