Just q follow up. Brought it in to the dealer with the bulletin on the new method to check the 2009 steering head bearing. He did the fallaway test and it swung 5 times instead of 2. It feels much better so far.

Man, that's good to know. Is this something they do automatically during the 5K service I wonder???

You should have rode mine with the 407 cupped like a ****. The 408 is a nice riding tire. 38 front and 40 back seems good.

So they adjusted it, right?? Good thing, because 5 swings is really loose (and they probably didn't detach the brake & clutch cables when they swung it, which means it's even looser than that).
