I ordered one yesterday from Zanotti. Got a email back they are on backorder. I have read enough about them to convince me it is worth the expense. I don't like the slack in the drivetrain when lightly on and off the throttle.
Rod, Just read the entire thread and it sounds like you guys should have almost a whole riding season on it, still like it? I had an 03' RK before and never had the noise I have with the 96" on start up, it's almost embarrassing. This sounds like an easy winter fix project. I also like the idea of getting more rear wheel HP. Thanks for the info.
I just recently installed the SE Compensator sprocket and fell it was one of the best things I've done to the bike!! Even my wife noticed the difference! And the starter knock is GONE!! I say go for it!!
I took the easy way out. My dealer replaced my compensator under warranty and I paid the difference in parts price to get the SE. It made a great difference, no starting knock, no slack at slow speed, it is like a different bike.
