Thunderbird (Used to be Chick's) here has a set $990.00 for dealer prep (ripoff), and $330.00 for freight and then I had to still pay the state blackmail tax (registration) of 6.8% that was $1360.34. So it was 21365.34 out the door. Still not bad considering every other dealer in a 200 mile radius wanted $26,500.00 for the same bike. My wife and I have seen them for MSRP in NC, FL, and Virginia so plan B would have been a road trip.

Some of the dealers still think it is 1990 with a six month wait for a bike, so they still play that supply and demand crap. Unfortunatley for them now that HD is a publicly traded company we know that they are actually overstocked by 20% or more. They have incentives to move the old model year bikes as fast as they can. Steadfast, and patience at the end of the month the sales manager will give you a call to move a bike if they think you are a serious buyer.
