What neckball said. Sell it on Ebay and buy a Mustang. How can you justify a product that has to be bent in a vice to make it functional. People have been complaining about the angle ont eh HD backrest for all the years it's been on the market and the Factory hasn't addressed it yet.

Does anyone have some pictures of a Mustang backrest on a bike? I want to see how it looks before I buy one.

I broke down and ordered the Mustang backrest today. I rode 55 miles last night and had enuff of the Harley backrest. My back hits the top of the backrest. It pushes me forward and he me a back ache. From what I read the Mustang pivets so it will lay flat on you back. I will have it next week. Can't wait.

Thanks for the advice. My Mustang came today and I love it. Not only does it put me in the seat where I am supposed to be, it also sits perfect on my back.

Perfect combo with the Sundowner seat.

Thanks again for the advice.

I have the adjustable one with a cable pull and it works fine if you decide to go that route. It does keep me sitting up straight, but not too much. I really like it. Just glad I didn't have to put mine in a press and bend.

OK, here are some pictures. I also took a picture of my backrest on my Heritage. It made by the guys at www.protac.net They are great backrests for some bikes like the Heritage.

Please, no comments on the junky garage. I have been meaning to clean it up.
