Number one, ALWAYS get it in writing, this saves a lot of the grief you're putting yourself through. Number 2, If my bike or my bike purchases caused me that much angst, I'd find something more enjoyable to do with my time and my money. Life's way too short
You must not be that fussy or **** if you didn't see the scratches before signing the paperwork. If they are fine scratches they will buff out. Do it yourself or find a professional detailer local that can do it. Not that big of a deal. If it is down to the gelcoat then there is no way you should have missed it before signing. If you are getting this pissed off now how are ya going to react with the first rock chip you get????
Shoot. Wait till gets to the front cupping tires, the 5th gear whine, the seat is too wide and uncomfortable, heat coming from the rear cylinder or any other of the common complaints we hear from 09 owners....
It will be fun time then...
lp
lmao... but i have no complaints with my 09 other than what i want to do to it, parts wise.
but yes a road trip to have it fixed would be the best choice i see and he could maybe get them to do the first service for free to cover his troubles...
So where is the pics? Sucks that you can't take a mans word. Take the bike somewhere close, have them fix it & send the dealer the bill. Or talk to the dealer about throwing in something shinny for your troubles of having to go back. Good luck
"I did glance the bike over while it was still inthe garage and they were finishing up checking everything over and inspecting it ,
The bike looked great and looked flawless .
Well after signing all the paperwork and handing over the VERY LARGE PAID IN FULL CHECK ."
Buyer beware. Did you also say, you had the dealer pick out your bike for you?
Sorry about your scratches.
You're whinning about taking a 650 mile road trip on the bike? Did you buy the bike to sit in the garage or what? If you want I'll ride it over there for you and get it fixed...I'll even take a day or two off work to do it.
This is a bad idea for the OP.
I would think twice about the 650 mile ride to get it fixed.
1. The bike might get dirty.
2. Bugs might get splattered on it.
3. Rock chips
4. Miles will be added to the bike
Any of these things might cause a blood pressure spike in a fussy person such as yourself which could result in a heart attack.
Force them to come to your garage and fix it. Then DO NOT ride the bike. Polish and stare at it as much as possible.
Hey, its a motorcycle not a trophy. If you ride it, it will probaly get a few more scraches.
Work a deal out with the selling dealer on a free service or some doo-dads ect and go on with life.
