As for the "reaching through the phone" part in the original post, take some chill pills.
+1 A good lesson for everyone. Its something to consider when shoping around out of town for a bike.
My thoughts exactly. I found better deals on my last bike but stayed close to home for that reason. You need to chill dude, a few small scratches ain't chit. Be thankful you can afford one unlike many that are losing half of what the got. Take a deep braeth and calm down. It will all work out. T.
but why should I put 700 miles on my new bike pay $$?? for gas and ???$$$ for a hotel room
Your asbolutely write,
I don,t no anyone that rides just four the fun of it,,,
Gotta have a DAM good reason to put miles on a bike .
So now you have a reel delemma,,,
A bike with lo miles, a trailor and a dealer willing to fix the problem thats givning you an ulcer,,,
But your dam pride is in the way!
Sounds like you're not a real joy to live or work with. I had an '05 BMW LT, rode it 660 miles to my local dealer to install a CB radio, on way home, late at night, I find that it didn't work so I called the dealer and they said bring it back. I get to dealer and they say, yep, bad CB unit, we'll have to order another since we don't stock them. I quietly said that I'm not riding 2,000 miles (three trips) for a problem they knew about before I rode back the second time. I said, just take it off and refund me the $650 I paid. They did. I rode about a mile up the road and traded the bike in for an '05 Ultra Classic. When they found out what I had done they were in shock, but I said, no big deal. I would have kept the LT if they had at least given me a $16 Motel Six coupon, but they didn't and they lost a good customer. Point is, if a little scratch has you all wired then you need a chill pill. A fall ride is one of the best you can make, I'd see it as an opportunity. Imho, the dealer sounds like good people...not walking away from a non warranty issue they created.
Its not always a great savings to drive 1200 miles round trip to get a bike they must have had one hell of a deal
If you read his posts he clearly stated (quote) Ok heres the deal , first off there were no 09 Street Glides closer to me than this dealer was (unquote)
Sounds like all you iron butt riders (GET OUT AND RIDE ) need to lighten up.

Apparently not everyones read my problem and understanding that it WAS the closest dealer to me .
I live in Northern NY located kiddy corner to CANADA and Vermont ..
Its been in the 30,s already this year ..
Yes I no there are you all big and burly hard core riders that say no problem just take it on a 650 mile trip , chill and enjoy the ride .
Its getting vold here I,m not in the Southern parts ,
Not getting to wound up over the sacastic comments , I guess my point of view is .
Stealer as most call them now realized he screwed up by telling me it could be fixed by any authorized dealer and he now is re****ing on it ..
And to you dont care abought little dents or scratches guys who bought your bike new .
I dont believe for 1 minute you never looked over your new $20,000 plus bike before signing off on the paperwork .
So if your telling me not to worry abought it why did you ???.
One last note , I believe the bike was sratched after I looked at it while it was in the service shop .
So from the time the tech. finished his inpection and the time the manager drove it from the shop to my trailer it happend ..
So go ahead and say I,m an *** for not staying with the bike the hole time I was there ..
