Default ipod nano mount

After trying a bunch of different ways to mount my ipod nano, I think I finally found a way I can live with. I like it because it is centered and just below my line of sight. Makes it easy to work with while riding.

The mount is made of a ram cradle ipod nano (RAM-HOL-AP5U) and ram antenna adapter (RAM-348U). Total cost of the parts was less than $18.

Two sided tape holds the adapter in place to the dash and then the three bag mount locks it in place. The ipod snaps in and out of the cradle for security and the mount doesn't look out of place without the ipod. Just pop out the ipod and put it and the cord in side bag or in my pocket. Since no holes were drilled, if I decide I don't like it there, I just pop it off, clean up some tape residue and it's like it was never there.

Great idea, where did you get the cable from? I'm looking for a shorter one.

Not sure where I found the cable, but it was someplace on the internet. I do still have the box it came in here is the info on the back:

Percision Interface Electronics, Inc
Chatsworth, CA 91311
Tele: (818) 678-3690
website: http://www.pie.net
email: questions@pie.net

It says the part number is 3.5-POD . As I recall it wasn't to high dollar.

I can tell you the sound is much better going this route than coming out of the ear plug connection.

[edit below]
Here is a link to it on the PIE page: http://www.pie.net/pie_store/shopexd.asp?id=642&bc=no

I seem to remember finding it for less than that but that's not a bad price. It has worked great so far.

Nice job. I just put mine in one of the windshield pockets, but that's not too safe when trying to ride and change tunes. I like your setup.

I am no tech head by any means, but from that picture that IPOD is not a nano, it looks like the I POD classic. The bad part about the IPOD Classic it has a hard drive just like a laptop, the vibration from the bike and road will kill it. The nano has a flash drive which is not affected by the vibration.

Dont ask me how I know........

That's a previous generation nano. No hard drive.
