WTF is the support rod that connects to the forward cylinder head top side then to the frame? What would be the adverse effects (if any) if I took it off? Tanks!
if your talking about the turnbuckle looking piece, that is one of the motor stabilizers. Their job is to keep the drivetrain all in line. Without them the motor would be able to shift side to side which in turn moves the swingarm side to side makeing for a ill handeling motor cycle. I don't recomend removeing it.

Anything you don't understand or know what it is on the scoot, take it off and trash it. Probably didn't need it anyway. That's how you learn what it DID.

May want to also remove those two black box looking things that are hanging from the front forks, they seem useless and clutters up the front end. LOL LOL.....
