My 2005 Road Glide stereo will not power up. I've checked the fuse, and the fuse is fine. The diagnostics will not let me scroll through any diagnostics. In d1 the code coming up is 11101 and it won't let me move or do anything from there.
Any suggestions???
Thank you for your help!
Rick
These stereo are notoriously defective. If you bike isn't still under warranty, you have a couple of options.
Send it to a repair shop know for it's expertise with Harmon Kardon HD radios. The staff there are supposedly ex-Harmon Kardon employees and know how to fix and modify the stereos so they will work and last. http://www.ironcrossaudio.com/
Or you can go with an after market stereo and a kit, so that the hand controls on your handlebars will still function.

my 05 rg did that after a ride in the rain. i left the power to it and it came back to normal. maybe i'm just lucky, but it might be damp/wet. take a blow dryer to it and see if that helps.
Sorry my mistake.
I have the HK on my 06' RG, it has a chrome mp3 player on the handlebars. Are you saying that if the player was moved to the other bike with the older style stereo it wouldn't work?
The '05 has a Radio Sound radio; their phone # is (502) 267-6768.
The HD Electrical Diagnostic Manual for your 2005 RG has a lengthy diagnostic protocol which should identify the problem.
You could remove the outer fairing and check the base audio connector that plugs into the back of the radio to see if it is proviiding power to the radio. Your HD Service Manual has wiring diagrams with the pin out assignments to identify the pins to check.

Thanks for the phone number. I'll call them and also try to get a manual.

You're welcome. Double-check the fuses. More than one person has posted here about initially checking the fuses and not seeing the blown fuse, only to go back and find one. The break in the fuse can be difficult to spot.
