Default Change in Engine Vibration

Need your opinion. I have a 2008 SG. I had an incident where the nut that keeps the clutch adjustment bolt on the primary side in place, came off and the bolt worked itself out. It resulted on not being able to use the clutch (happened on the highway and had the dealer come and pick up the bike). Needless to say, they fixed it, and said the nut was just laying there and did not cause any damage.

However, I noticed now that the engine vibrates differently. As it approaches 3000 RPM, it gets harsher and could feel annoying vibrations in the handle bars. Before the fix, it used to smooth out and only get harsh closer to 4000 RPM. Do you think something was damaged when the nut fell out?

Thanks.

Are you sure the nut fell out ? Maybe it is stuck between the motor & the frame. I had a situation were a bolt from somewhere was lodged beween the back of the primary & the frame. Caused serious vibrations in the bike.

Was the nut on the internal adjuster inside of the primary?

Make sure that the dealer didn't drain the primary and forgot to put fluid back in.

I don't know why they would drain it but who knows!

Yes it was the internal adjuster inside the primary. They said the nut fell out and was laying at the bottom of the primary and did not cause any damage. They did change the oil, but did fluid back in, I know this because I just changed all the fluid (including the primary just in case they did not use synthetic) and oil did drain out.

Think about it. They repaired a nut that came off internally. It was probably working itself loose the entire time. It only makes sense it would be different now that it's fixed properly and not loose anymore?
