Default 14" apes

OK, last year I swapped to the Fat Road King bars. They are 1.25" diameter, even in the center section. Is there any one out there who makes apes that are 1" at the center section? I ask because I had to switch risers with these bars I have now. I still have the stockers, but on all the bikes I have seen, if the bars are 1.25" but tapered down to 1" in the center, you can usually see the transition, meaning its not completely covered by the handlebar cover. Also, anyone with 14" apes, can you tell me what length cables you switched to???? I am thinking if I do it right, all I will need is the bars, upper brake line, clutch cable, and wire extension for the TBW.

you could just get a 1.25 inch bar clamp and 1.25 inch bars with no taper.

i think it's plus 6" cables that you need, but not positive (I'll know when mine arrive this week). someone else will know for sure. there are some other great threads on this if you do a search.

that's what I was looking for, 1.25" with no taper, the only ones I have found like that are the Carlinis, yeah I am going to do a search for the cables too, but couldn't find anything real specific about the bars. I already have risers for 1.25" bars because of my bars now

the cables are the least of my concern really, I am more looking for someone who makes a set that DOESN'T taper to 1" in the center section, besides Carlini Design. I don't like paying $200 for bars, so I REALLY don't want to pay $350

Wild 1 make their bars with a one inch center section. www.wild1inc.com I've had their apes on my last four bikes and have always used the stock risers with no problem.
