I used Spectro chain case lube a couple times. As far as I know its not syn. When I went to buy it again the price was jacked up to almost 9 bucks a qt.!
Since then I have been using Valvoline 20wt50 motorcycle oil at 4 bucks aqt.
Cant tell any difference.
Any synthetic in the primary is just a waste of money. All that is needed is a good 10w-40 dino oil such as Castrol GTX. The oil is not for lubrication but rather for cooling purposes. Can't tell you where to find Spectro. Sorry.
ok thanks guy s but i a cvo there is a sticker that the customer has to remove from the primery and says you have to use synthetic why if it is just for cooling????
thanks gabe
Just changed my primary fluid this past week using Spectro Primary Chaincase Lubricant. Prior to that I had Redline MTL in there. Seems to work/shift just as well, and it was a little cheaper than the MTL. I believe you're correct; the Specto is not synthetic.
