PM or post if/when you get ready to do yours. Good luck with those investments..................ESPECIALLY with this White House.
I will. Yeah, you didn't do it all at once, but you been building that bike for a while and it just keeps getting more impressive. You must be about done now, you got the bling,...you go the "go". You got good handling with the brace.. you got it all!

Don't get confused like I did, two styles of switches. Some bikes use a normally open and some use a normally closed style neutral switch, not sure which ones. But, for example, if you have the normally closed style and you short across it, nothing will happen and will measure zero ohms if working correctly. When I went to the HD parts dept, they gave me the opposite style so light was on in gear and off when in neutral, very confusing.

it's possible the bulb worked backward out of the mount and is working you just can't see it. Or the bulb burned out.
Shorting the wires won't work if there is no power on one, so could be a bad connection somewhere.
To get at the bulb, remove front fairing. remove radio or work around it and cuss.
The warning light module is held in with a couple plastic clips.
The bulb is mounted in a rubber grommet and the grommet and bulb are pushed into module from the rear( from front side of the bike).

Default Thanks! that's helpful

I had the fairing off and pulled the little 4 led module. The service manual says it's a "replaceable unit", so I didn't think I could pull/change the individual LEDs. I used a VOM at the connector to that little module and there is power from the brown wire to ground, so it's getting a "on" signal.

But no green light.

Are these LEDs replaceable? I was thinking I needed a new 4 LED unit.
