You could have slung the balancing weight off of your tire. That happened to me about 3 weeks ago.
There's a thought!

My bike did the same thing at about the same RPM range as yours until I had a good tune done with the race tuner after I installed my Rinehart TD'S. I think it has something to do with the timing and or fuel causing it to miss in that RPM range. I did notice that my bike vibration seemed to change with the outside temperature, making me lean more towards a fuel metering problem.

Just for the helluvit....

Would it be possible to pull the V&H duals and reinstall the factory headpipes with your current slip-ons.... just as a test? That would be a whole bunch quicker & easier than dick'n wiht the cams. It may seem like a bit of a swag, but it seems (from afar) that the pipes would have a higher likelihood of causing it than the cams.

Just a thought....

No.....pipes are gone. I am pretty tight with the guy that did the cams and dyno tune....I will be talking with him in the morning. I just e-mailed Bob Woods, we'll just see what he has to say on the subject....

Try the motor mount my 2000 95 cc RG vibration is so bad now . befor with the broke mount and loose bolt was cool to me. The dealer said it's the hard rubber it should brake down now that I loosen the center bolt. My though only .

Since you just had your front mount replaced, it may be mis- aligned. I had my front motor mount replaced and after that I had a bad vibration that broke the inner fairing brackets. I checked the alignment of the new mount and discovered it off center. I centered it and the vibration is gone. The manual walks you through this procedure.

Make sure your right hand muffler hasn't slid back against the metal bracket under the saddlebag. It happend to me and it caused a weird vibration.

I'm having the same trouble on my fatboy.. *I've got it at the indy now but he wont even be able to get it on the rack till tomorrow. Mine developed suddenly I think. I get a "hum" vibration over about 3000rpm or so. Whats maddening about it is that its not that "bad" but its for sure new and its bad enough that my feet tingle and my mirrors vibrate over 70mph. The bike was not like this before. The thing I'm worried about is that I read a counterbalancing sprocket can slip and cause this and the only way to fix it is opening the engine and replacing the crank! You dont have a B engine on the touring bike and are having the same problem so I hope its something besides this. The indy did immediately notice that I had a slipped weight on my front tire but I can feel this vibration even when in neutral if i rev. Keep us posted

Yes, exactly. I have a '07 S\E Ultra that vibrates excessively at 2600 - 2800 rpms in 4,5,6 gears. 5th at about 65 mph and 6th at 72 mph, the cruising ranges. I have been going back and forth with the dealer and Harley that say, of course, nothing is wrong because they are unable to duplicate the complaint. When I first ride, the bike feels great but after 20 miles\minutes the vibration becomes very evident and after a while actually shakes your teeth and eyes cannot focus on signs and billboards. I am not going to give up and accept such riding conditions. This is my 14th H-D so I do know what to expect.

Please keep in touch and call 414-342-4680 to register a formal complaint with the factory.

mine wasnt a very heavy vibration, but it was there usually at about 70 was the worst. 'i tinkered with a few things until finding it was the highway cruise pegs. yes the ones mounted on the crash bars. mine were pretty bulky and taking them off smoothed it completely

just for laughs, look at your top engine dampener, it's under the tank, ( kinda looks like a tire rod end ) mounts from the frame ( brake side) to the horn bracket ( clutch side ). My wifes Ultra Classic started vibrating in her boards ( stock motor ) and I blew it off as break in quirks since I have an EGC until I noticed her horn bouncing all over the place one evening. I checked it and found that the center of the mount had come undone, not visibly hanging but loose. I changed the dampener and it's back in the sweet spot. Observation : If that is not adjusted correctly it can and will cause vibration issues at varying rpm's. Good luck and hope my experience gives you a tiny bit of insight.
