I'm thinking about it. I like the idea of keeping the bike at stock height for handling but having the Soft Tail low seat feel.
I'd like to sit on one to see how low it is and how hard the seat is. I figure your not going to have any seat options if you don't like the one that comes with it.
I have seen the FBI drop seat conversion in person. Looked good, did'nt sit on it but it has that soft tail seat look. My guess is it will set you down and back quite a bit, but like I said I did'nt sit on it. The indy here is an FBI dealer. The bike is always at the shop. One of the "shop bikes".
Thanks, Rnemhrd! Next time you're there at the shop, how about sitting on it to give us some idea of how it sits and of the seat comfort. I know just sitting on it wouldn't help much on comfort, but that's more than I have right now. Thanks!
Jerry
I sat on FBI's drop seat police road king in Daytona at this past Biketoberfest. it was really comfortable. Felt like sitting on a sportier style bike, like my old slammed fatboy with a badlander seat. Didnt even feel like a bagger. I wish this kind of kit was available for pre 09. Cool part, but the price is not as cool!
FBI had a big setup at Destination Daytona. I didn't sit on the drop seat, but looks real low, but looks like it moves you back alot. but I didn't sit on one. If I go back this week, I'll ask to sit on one. The bikes I saw that had the drop seat also had a stretched tank. The lines flowed perfectly. FBI has some great products.
I'm very interseted in this myself..... I started a thread about it a couple weeks ago. Just got a 2010 SG, havn't done much riding yet, been puting plenty of hours on the snow blower. I really like my SG and the fact that it is so smooth and most of all usefull, good to RIDE and not just run around on. I gotta say coming off of a 98 Fatboy with an air-ride rear and Corbin Gunfighter seat the postition on the bike sure is different. I'm gonna take some time and put some miles on the new SG before i make any ha$ty decisions..
