Well, it was a pain in the azz, but I finished installing my WO518's today. Hit a couple of snags, one being my throttle grip sensor wouldn't fit into the slots on the bars. Had to pull the wiring out so I had room to file with the bars on the bike. Then, I couldn't get the pins back into one of the molex connectors. Took me over an hour just to fix that problem. Plus, getting the wiring through the bars was a royal PITA! My fingers are worn out from that molex connector and twisting all the wire extensions for the controls. I soldered those and used heat shrink and then wrapped them tight with electrical tape. Clutch and brake seem OK length wise. Plugged the maxi fuse back in and nothing blew! I might have gotten lucky. Checked the turn signals out, they're OK. Have to take the bike out to check the rest. I plan on getting custom grips and braided SS brake and clutch lines later, but she looks great with just the new bars for now. Had to take numerous beer breaks, cuz it was one job that really tested my patience.
Just sitting on the bike, they feel great, I love the width, not too wide, but enough for good control. Can't wait to take her out tomorrow. Hope everything works! It would be a be-otch to have to do it over!
