Default 21" front wheel (good or bad?)

I'm considering a 21" front wheel for my 2009 RG. I know it will raise the front end about 1" so I'll need to lower the bike to accommodate.

For you guys running the 21" fronts, does it change the ride/handling of the bike much?
If you could do it over, would you?

Any other feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I did it with all the concern you have. I did lower the front end back down I thought there may a considerable loss in handling also. But to tell you the truth I love it not much different I would do it again!

I love the look and wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again. I have an adjustable suspension (Arnott) which I really think helps to compensate for the handling characteristics as well.

Yep, had a 21 on my 07 and the 1st thing I ordered for my 2010 was the 21" wheel!

I lowered my front end after a month of riding. It was only a noticable problem under 10 mph.
Now that the front end is lowered, all is fine again. Yes I would do it again.

iam getting new rims and tires for my 09 street glide was going to get a 21 up front and 18 in back. my dealer wont sell me a 21 says it isnt save. will only sellme a 18 up front.iam also wondering about handling. i already have the front lowered. i think iam going to go with the 18 as we take a few long trips.

The 18" is better handling I won't lie to you about that. I had an 18" on my '08.

These 21" are like 20" rims on cars. Not as good as stock, but still no problems.
