Get yourself some light weight chain from Home Depot. It's easy to thread through the bars because of the weight. Once you get the chain through, tape the wires to the end and just pull them through. There is a video of this on Youtube. Search BR Custom Bars.

Although this info is not the Yaffe bar it really helped me install my 13"Cyclesmith apes. Just PM anyone of the guys on this thread and they will help you though it. I am not a mechanic and I was able to get it done. Everyone is right about the internal wires. They are a big pain in the a$$. I had to walk a way a couple of times before I got the wires pulled in and the plugs back on. I had never changed out a clutch cable and it went alot easier than the wires.

This is great stuff you guys are posting . I have an 08 with fly by wire throttle, I wonder if that makes the left side a little easier to do? Also do any one know that when you remove the aftermarket grips will they be reusable? I removed the originals and installed the new ones with glue. I won't be able to blow air in these and they expand like the video MassHD posted.

Actually the left is a little easier. The right has the fbw and the switch wires and the left only has the switch wires. I put the fbw in first and pulled it out where the wires go in. I then taped both together and feed the unit back in the hole on the bar. The other thing I did was cut off the black protective cover on the wires. I left about 4 inches up by the switch so the wires wouldn't rest on the bar opening. I also slide a section on where the wires come out at the bottom of the bars.

Well, I was just watching the video on the chain. I wish it was that easy, but unfortunately it isn't. If you noticed, he stopped where he should be actually pulling 40 daggum wires through there. And his bars are about a 2'' diameter and the Yaffe bars are not. Putting together a list of stuff for you guys. Just trying to make sure I got it all together.
