One of the 1st things I did was to buy a service manual so I could change the bars myself. Just to change the bars, using everything else stock, they wanted over $200 at the STEALER. I spent $65 and did it myself. A few months after that,we put apes on my buddy's Heritage and even tho I have been a mechanic,it was not that hard at all, just a little time consuming to double check everything and make no mistakes.

Well I'm pretty new to the site and I apparently don't have the privilege to PM. So..... If you can PM me and give the info I would be very appreciative. Maybe you can also explain why I don't have the ability to PM. Thank you
Allan... ( Oh I am speaking about the apes and all )

I didn't install them myself, but my indy used baby powder to help guide the wires through. The corner notches were a little feisty.

As a guide to pull the wires thru the bars I use the nylon weed wacker string. It feeds right thru and comes out of the bottom hole very easily, better than string or cable and much easier to work with.
