One of the 1st things I did was to buy a service manual so I could change the bars myself. Just to change the bars,using everything else stock,they wanted over $200 at the STEALER. I spent $65 and did it myself. A few months after that,we put apes on my buddy's Heritage and even tho I have been a mechanic,it was not that hard at all,just a little time consuming to double check everything and make no mistakes.

As a guide to pull the wires thru the bars I use the nylon weed wacker string. It feeds right thru and comes out of the bottom hole very easily, better than string or cable and much easier to work with.
