Talking Installed

Wanted to say thanks to TexasSG and SG Dave! I got my bars installed. With all the help and tips it really wasn't that bad. The biggest pain was the right side wouldn't feed - my pull string kept coming loose. Once that was done it was pretty easy.

I've only gone for a quick ride but it is soooo comfortable. I must be just the right height cuz I can still use the fairing mirrors (actually better than the wo575 they replaced).

Thanks again everyone -- crappy cell pic for proof.

Sounds like some dedicated forum members have been able to help others out, that's awesome.

If someone could email me the tips/instructions, that would be a huge help! Thanks in advance!

My understanding is that stock lines work with 10" and smaller?

I am about to have this done.

Looks good! How do you like those grips? A buddy has been eyeing those for his Heritage. I just try to pay it forward. I've gotten tons of help here myself.

I put wild 1 575's on mine (10") and all I had to do was replace the clutch cable with a 4" over cable. Some say you don't need to, but even with the 4" over I still had to reroute mine, so in my case, I had to. The wires and brake line are fine, they can be rerouted.

I'm getting ready to do this again, but this time I'm looking for 14 or 15" bars.

Default Grips

I like them fine. Wouldn't mind trying something else? The give it kind of an old school look..... They're pretty firm; seems like they will last a while.
