I understand to keep the wires separate color coded I have that, I have read guys cutting the plugs off and soldering the wires and heat shrink them and they work, I don't trust myself enough to go that route (don't like soldering), I would like to take the plug off hook the wires back together without the green plug. If I was running 2" bars like what is in the video I would leave the plug on. All I know is when I ran the left side it was slow going with just the 1 group of wires, I know there is a way to get the wire/pins out of the plugs

Hi all, I was wondering for those that have done this. Can you still use factory fairing mirrors with the 10" bars?? I actually like the 12" but not sure if I want my hands above fairing. Any thoughts? Also, with 10" can I use existing wires AND brake and clutch line? I have hydraulic clutch. Thanks.

I think it will vary depending on where you mount the bars, your height and seat position - I put on a set of Yaffw 12" bars and could not see my mirrors - others said they could

I'm using my stock mirrors with the 10" MBB. Takes a little getting used to looking under my arms to see the mirrors but I'm fine with them. As previous comment, seat and rider height make a difference. I have the bars pushed as far forward as can be. Have a modified stock seat that sits me lower and farther back. I tried handle bar mirrors and didn't care for the look.

Thanks, that helps. I like the look of the stock mirrors . How about the install? Will I need to extend all my lines and wiring?

I have 10"s MBB and have them pulled back just a tad. Couldn't see a thing out of the mirrors without lifting my elbows and tilting my head down to see anything. Was just too much of a hassle for me, so I installed a set of the standard mirrors and dont regret it 1 bit after a few minutes of getting over the look. My buddy just installed 12's on his and he was complaining of still not seeing much out of his stock mirrors. His controls hang down just enough to be in the middle of his mirrors.
