Arc amp ground question
Is there anything wrong or that I need to worry about with running the amp ground to the negative post on the battery ?
(pardon the pun......but can I get both positive and negative thoughts on it),
Thanks............

"The ground wire should be connected directly to the chassis of your vehicle",this is quoted from the owners manual.
Not sure why?
I removed the rivet that holds the throttle cables and strain relief on the frame, then tapped the hole for a screw.I secured the ground at this point.

The reason they state to connect to chassis is that you do not want a long (over 3') ground run, it will degrade the power. I think I used 4' to batt ground which is still acceptable, just not optimal, This has worked flawless for the past 10 months
From what I have heard, there have been some people that have reported noise when grounded to any part by the battery. I didn't go directly to the battery but rather the lug the battery was attached to just under the seat. I did this because it can be a real pain to attach several wires to the battery as you add other power toys to the bike. I've not had any problems with this setup.
Was I suppose to do that?

I would, and add some dielectric grease to prevent corrosion. The powdercoating is not a cundoctor, and the screw doesnt have much real estate to transmit current
