Running lean (for emmisions) will cause fuel mileage to be low. Increasing the air/fuel lets them run cooler and will actually increase mileage if you don't constantly romp on it.

Are you sure? When you say increase air/fuel, do you mean increase ratio or decrease ratio?

It seems that running more lean would cause fuel mileage to be higher since you aren't using as much fuel.

Bike with Calif. Header with Cat. - Ran Lean & Hot and got 44 - 48 MPG

Bike with 49 State Non-Cat. but with Stage 1 Ca. download - Runs Rich & Cool and 36 MPG
