I need some opinions. My 06 Ultra has Vance and Hines slip ons. I’m told I need a high flow filter kit and the bike remapped. I’m not sure if I should buy the Screaming Eagle kit or the K&N kit. One option I’m told is to purchase the Screaming Eagle kit then next year replace the filter with a K&N filter. Is it better to let my local Harley Dealer for $450.00 remap my bike or save $150.00 and let my local bike shop do the work, using a Power Commander? I forget what Harley uses instead of the Power Commander.
Exactly as stated above. Exhaust out, no need to change air or get mapped. However, change the ac and now you're looking at a fuel management system and time on the dyno (unless you go with one that you can adjust yourself).
Bottom line, no need for anything else with just slip ons. If the stealer insists, find another!
As it is right now you don't need to do anything if you're happy with the way it runs. If you want to upgrade one step at a time call Fuelmoto and get a pcIII or V. They'll map it for you with your set up. Then later when you want to spend more money call them again and they'll sell you a air cleaner and send you a new map for your new set up.
