He said a "windshield" not a fairing.

I have 13" and love them. 14" would have worked also. I am 6' tall

I took it as he meant anything in front of the apes. Business in the front party in the rear. The faring has a windshield. So your point is?

My point is that a windshield and a fairing are different. he may have meant what you said but. My point is that I agree that I don't like the look with a W/S but do with a fairing.

"Business in the front party in the rear"

That is known as a Tennessee Mud Flap.

They can look good with a windshield, But we all know they look better without. They can look awesome with a fairing. I have the short smoke windshield and i've seen pics that look good with that. I think my bike will always look better with out a windshield. But most of the time I like to shield the wind. I don't like fighting with it.

Well if he meant with a w/s or fairing I am not sure but I dig the look on my SG with both fairing and windshield. However I also dig the El Camino and I sported the mullet back in the day. So I guess I have been looking silly for a while now

Best advice given - consider the height of your bike and seat and where you'd like your arm to rest. I've employed 12.5" and 16" apes on my 02' Road King with a Mustang single rider seat. The 16" apes were just right for me at 6'2", where my hands were at heart height (not at or above my shoulders). With a different seat, the results could have been different, lower or taller apes. Good luck with your selction.

Q Hog - That's one beautiful bike!!!
