Default FBW questions when replacing handlebars

I am replacing the handlebars, grips and levers on my 09 RKC with FBW throttle. I have read the service manual but have not found any thing that says there is any adustments on the throttle grips for the FBW when installing new grips. Anyone know if there are any adjustments needed or is as simple as it sounds and does not need any adjusting?

No adjustments. Just be careful with the connecter in the bar. I had a friend who screwed his up. I've done a few now with no problems at all.

No adjustments. I swapped grips on my wife's '09 Street Glide (to heated ones) and just swapped to Heritage bars on my Road Glide just this past Saturday. The throttle is easier than the ol' cable days. Good luck!!

Connector in the bar? Are you referring to the twist grip sensor inside the bar or being careful and using a cardboard spacer when removing brake levers?

There's a small connector about half way down the handlebar. You'll have to back feed some of the wiring in order to get it out the end of the bar & unplug it. Not complicated.

inside the bar is a green plug. you have to unplug that to change the bars out. the pin connectors inside that plug are small and could damage easily. not a big deal, just be aware of it and you'll be fine.

Yeah, I read my service manual gave a heads up about that hidden connector. It also shows a really good pic of what it looks like. Thanks for the warning, it's greatly appreciated.

One more tip:
When you're putting the throttle side grip back on, make sure its not too tight against your switch housing or you'll have a poor mans version of cruise control.
Don't ask me how I know.
