Really?? I usually ***-U-ME that if the manual says lube something, it should be lubed. Maybe just some extra $$ for dealer services?

Hmm
I think I can see it!
What about the adjustment? Does it get off and have to be readjusted?
I've haven't done that yet...

Hey, I've got one of those from my dirt racing days...doesn't fit the throttle cables, but nice to know it can be used on the clutch cable?

I have one of those cable luber's ....just clamp it on and spray some lube in.
Without using any special tools I've heard of guys taking
their cable off your clutch lever and laying it flat on your garage floor.
When you see some tranny fluid come out....it's lubed.

I have an aftermarket Barnett cable and it does not need to be lubed

considering what twodollarbill said, I'm thinking that any overlubed cable will end up dumping the lube into your tranny oil, so the oil of choice for me will be the syn I use in the tranny...just to keep things pure. Of course that WOULD take all night to run down, being so thick. We were doing the baggy trick way back in the '70's...I wonder how far back that one goes?
I remember when the first nylon coated cables first came out; no comparison to steel only.
