I never lock it when in the garage, but then again, anyone that can steal it from my garage, without losing a leg or more, can have it...the Rotwieller lives in the garage...
My home is protected by God,an Rottweiler and a 12 gauge pump. If you come into my garage you may meet all 3.
Just for the record...this thread revival is not a record for oldest thread revival. It did make the podium though coming in at third place. Not bad but unfortunately with recent budget cutbacks there are no prizes for anything other than a new record.
To stay on topic while at home my bike goes in the garage for the overnight. Typically I lock the garage but not the bike. We have a security camera system, a dog that barks if a squirrel farts but is scared of her own shadow and insurance. If someone wants something bad enough theyll get it regardless. All you can do is not be an easy target and hopefully they'll move on.
I don't lock the bike while in the garage because i have a camera system and a firearm within 3 feet of me anywhere i am in the house or one on my person all the time. Also a Dog that does not like strangers and lets me know if a fly is banging on the door.
