Stopped Firing after riding home from Daytona. I made it home and the next morning no fire.
Its showing no codes. The ignition coil ohms correctly. I cannot find any broken wires. I removed the battery and checked all wiring and grounds.
Could the ECM be bad and not show a code?
Any idea what this could be or where to look? Any help appreciated...
Had a ignition key switch assembly go bad on a '04 911 and the only way I found out was the fan would start and stop and start and stop by itself while the car was in the garage, car was not just parked , called the dealer , he ran the VIN on the car , and there was a recall for the part. Wear caused the ignition switch to send voltage to the fan intermittently. Called the car Christine from that day forward. Maybe your key switch is bad? and sending voltage to somewhere and running down the battery while it is in the off position.

Could be a bad ignition module, but a friend has an '01 Classic that started running badly on a trip and once home it wouldn't start. It was the crank postion sensor.
