I just run everything stock on my bike, but on my SCCA Spec Racer Ford I had the exhaust ceramic coated to one; help keep from burning through a thin-walled exhaust pipe and 2; to help the flow and efficiency of the exhaust. It worked fine and lowered the under bonnet temps around 15 degrees F.
I under stand your unhappy to say the least. I will cover the freight and the cost of the coating. Iam working on the R&R part. I want to at least get a shot to make it right. Can you e-mail me pics? I understand your measured skin temps but that is not EGT's but never mind that. Are you willing to let me try to help you out?
Hey MushOKC, been away for a short bit, just now trying to at least get to some posts, emails, and PM's. (sorry to the guys who PM'd me for wheels & parts, I'll get to ya) Back to you though, if you're as sincere as you're making the effort to come off as, then yeah I'll try working with you. You'll understand when I say my loyalties are with my fellow members here on the Forum. Meaning, I'll be straight with whatever the outcome is because we look out for each other here. As persistent as you have been, it makes me wonder if the previous job I had was just a crap job and maybe you're aware of something they missed or didn't do right. Perhaps that's why you feel so strongly about it. If so, I'll roll with that. If it turns out good, I'll share that with the Forum, if it's the same, I'll have to be honest. You OK with that? I do have a question regarding the black. I'm aware it isn't "gloss", but I had everything done including the muffler shells. How do I know when you do the shields that they will match the previous job on my muffler shells? Yes, I can email you pics you asked about, just tell me which you want. On the EGT's? Yes, the skin temps aren't the proper way of measuring, but they are a sufficient way of determining the thin gauge of the headers are not in any way holding back over 600 degrees of heat that I wouldn't be able to pick up with my thermal gun. But, as you say 'never mind that'. Point is, you appear to want to simply 'get a shot to make it right' and if you're genuine, I'm going to respect the intent and effort.
You're welcome to let me know here or PM me if you have any specifics (pics and whatnot). Be patient for replies as I'm addressing some things on the home-front and I'm not on the Forum lately as much as I used to be.
I understand your question about will it match. But I dont just want the shields I want the shells as well so that they will match. I just need you to contact me to go over the whole thing and get the ball rolling. Just to restate I do not want to put a time frame on the deal as I my have to strip the coating that is there and start over. If we are going to do this I do not need pics. I do need at least a name or customer# so I can start an order for you.

Hi Mush, your earlier post asked for pics, that's why I mentioned it. Can you PM me so I know exactly what you need? I have an old customer # from the other place. Better to create a new one from your place? I can respect the possible need to strip coatings regarding time frames. But, we're not talking a month or two are we? That question has to do with storing arrangements for the duration. Drop me a line so I can make sure I'm on the same page as you.

Whould be more than happy to do work for you or anyone else just contact me, but I cant do it for free.
Mush, I think this whole thing, (and I've read it all) is going to bring you some serious business from the Forum. I'm watching, as I've got a feeling this will have a happy ending.
DaButcher, I can certainly understand your frustration, and I see you are working with Mush to get this squared away. Try, as hard as it is, to work through it with Mush, and keep us all posted with the results. You've got to admit, he's certainly trying to make it right for you. Maybe he knows something about the AZ operations, and their work staff from across the border that we all don't know.
