I went with the Mechanical faces and find them to be a bit "busy", They're awesome standing still but the way the etching reflects light while riding keeps my head down a little too long, especially with the 2 inch guages. I find that I just look at the approximate position of the dial for information, which most people probably do anyway. The numbers are the same size as stock, I think because this is some kind of skin that goes over the original face so there's no real option there. With you liking the cleaner lines of the brushed face, you may not have the initial issues that I have.
I had Frank do my guages with the LED's as well and can tell you that his red LED's match the radio face exactly, well worth the money and much easier on my eyes than the stock orange. Light output is good, suprisingly good.
Good info! Thanks for the response. I can see how the mechanical could be a bit "busy"while trying to ride & read. Nu-Image is about a 120-130 mile ride for me so I think I'll go there & check'em out before pulling the trigger (gotta check out the flame ones anyway). Thanks again, Dave
