Default Anyone running 11.5" Progressives?

I switched from the stock 12" Road king Custom shocks to Progressive 430's 11.5"
I notice the bike bottoming on normal road bumps. Riding solo @ 180 lbs
Does this sound right? It does not sound like the rear tire is hitting the fender...rather that the frame or kickstand somewhere under the motor.
Any info or comments would be helpful, thanks

I ran 11.5 progressive shocks on my '98 dyna wide glide.
I also lowered the front with progressive springs and lowering kit and found that she bottomed out on the smallest of bumps.
The bike looked great and handled better but by jaysus it was uncomfortable, it looked dead cool but the wife used to bounce a lot and it was not far off a hard tail I used to have.
So yep, tis normal.

I run those shocks on my 2006 SG. They bottomed out untill I adjusted them about 5-6 times. I finally got it so they glide ove most bumps and only on the worst do they bottom out slightly. I have a detachable tour pak and ride 2 up. Keep turning the top adj until you find the right spot

well, that is good to hear, I installed the 430's with the bigger chrome end up...as I read that it didn't matter. Is that correct?
Turning the steel end clockwise = stiffer and the lines on the shock body go down...I'm at 1 line now...solo and I might have to go fully clockwise for 2 up.
I bought these used on the forum, called Progressive and I do have the standard duty springs as well, so that is a possible option as well.
