Default Chirp noise
Had new tires put on the 2002 EGC and when ever i let of the throtle i get a chirp. 1st thought it was from the front but now sounds like it is coming from the rear. any idea's????????

Drive belt may be out of adjustment.

Loose belt - just fixed the same thing after installing my rear wheel and test riding it.

Had the same problem after having a new tire put on. It was the belt.

I will check belt forsure. strange how it sounded from front first. thanks for the help.

mite wanna check the rear exhaust hanger... the rubber when dried out will make an annoying chirp too... some will replace it , but i just give mine a squirt of w d 40

X2 on the exhaust. typically the belt squaks when on the gas if loose, usually not when off the gas from my experience.
