I was always getting pissed when ever I look in my side view mirrors when i was sitting at a stop light or sign, and there is a cage right up my a$$. So i went to HD and bought the rear tail light run/brake/signal kit. I installed a Sylvania 3157K super bright bulb from the local advance in the middle brake light. I lit it up and WOW!!! now this thing looks like a fire engine from the back. This setup seems to work cause now the monkeys are giving me Pleeeennnntyyyy of space.
Just as a safety note, I teach riders not to crunch up close behind cars when coming to a light or the guy behind you will always crunch up to you as well. He gets hit from behind and you are a meat sandwich. Always sorta demand your space. They have to realize you are a registered motor vehicle, not a bicycle.

I agree, and i always hear people who dont ride sayin bikers think they own the road, I may be bias but i just don't see what they are talking about. I am sure most riders out there don't think a 850lb bike can bully its way through traffic.

If I read it right the OP installed a bright tail light. Word of caution make sure it doesn't get to hot and burn your lens. I saw a test done with a high wattage tail light bulb and it got so hot that it melted the interior of the tail light. If I read it wrong sorry.
I have BrightAssLights and it truly is bright and totally plug and play, no worries.
I always pull up behind any vehicle with space and always a way out in case someone is out to lunch, day dreaming,on their cells or whatever takes their focus away.
I never assume a cager has seen me ahead....always have plenty of space to do a quick maneuver....Like Darryl Waltrip sayz....That's Speriance, Son. You learn that stuff when you git older.
