These springs from HD? I also have a new problem with my '10 SG. My RH latch won't stay closed now, I push the handle down, it does NOT click, and pops right back out,,,,,, I have to lock it to keep it shut.
Yes they are HD springs. If your 10 has a problem, bring it in and make the dealer correct it under warranty.

Yes the replacement springs are from HD. If something is binding, check the teather connecting the bag and lid. When you close the lid and before you latch, slide your hand under lid and make sure teather/strap material is pushed back in bag and not catching.

I had one that did the same thing.
The problem was that the lock tab was hitting the inside bracket.
Try rotating the key while closing or adjust the latch or let the dealer fix it.

Make sure nothing is interfering with the lid closing. Had a customer come into the shop a while back all butt hurt because the s-bag latch would pop open on his new Ultra Limited. He was bitching about spending 30k on a bike that didn't even have bags that closed. Going on and on about if the s-bag latch is so poor how does he know the engine won't blow up, etc etc. I replaced the spring, tested it a few times and sent it out. He comes storming back in 5 minutes later ranting up a storm to the service manager about how it wasn't fixed and it was a "dangerous distraction" to him. Service manager has me swap out the entire latch to get this guy on his way. Replace the latch, test it out a dozen times and then have the serivce manager test it out and once again everything works fine so we send it out. Customer comes back in about 3 minutes later blowing a gasket cuz he swears it's till broken and we are trying to kill him (not that the thought didn't cross my mind about this point). Finally the service manager goes outside to the bike with him and asks him to demonstrate the problem. Customer shuts the bag with the nylon lid retainer sticking out and keeps his hissy fit going. Svc mgr calmly opens the lid, closes it properly and gee whiz it stays shut.
Another common culprit is the weather stripping. If a piece of that gets loose or was installed wrong, it can cause the same problem. If it's the actual spring, Harley sells just the spring. Don't get talked into an entire latch assemble if you don't need it. Seen places do this just because it's easier to replace the latch than to take it apart and replace the spring, or because the latch costs more or because they don't have the spring in stock.
