Clutch cable luber question

I use one daily, no you do not have to disconnect the bottom of the cable but you do have to colapse the cable adjuster And adjust out the ceter screw at the clutch hub just until the cable stops getting longer at the perch end. Open the cable luber all the way and slip it over the housing then all the way over the cable.
Spray just long enough until it starts to spray out at the cable adjuster.

If you do every 5k miles and your clutch pull will be much easier.

I've never been able to use my dirtbike cable lube tool on my HD's either so I made one from a piece of clear hose that'll just fit over the loop at the end of the cable. I put a hose clamp around it to seal it at the cable housing and then put a couple ounces of oil in the clear tubing. Then I use my air jet nozzle set at about 5-10 psi and inject the oil down the cable. Only takes one quick squirt of air and it's done.

Ok, so with this method the derby cover on the primary has to be open like you're doing a full adjustment so you have access to the center screw. Right now I was just wanting to lube the cable so I'll check this for sure next time I have the cover off and am adjusting the clutch. I think for now I'll see how much I can accomplish with the needle method.
