Default Cam question.

I have a 06 Road king carbed. SEAC, Bassani Power curve true duals, Bassani 4 in mufflers. Heads ported and polished. SE ignition. Dyno run was 76 hp and 79 fpt. I want to go the next step and get cams. I'm 300 lbs and wife is 200. So I am thinking I really need the low end torque. But don't want it to fall at the higher rpm either. Is there a happy medium? Some one has suggested the SE 211 cams but heard mixed reviews about them.

If you want to stay with Harley Cams I would go with the SE-203 (more low end) or the SE-204 (great all around cam). I am running the SE-204 now and love the set up, you can see my Dyno sheet in the Dyno Post

211 Cams needs More compression then stock, and a big bore kit would help too.

Need more info... Is it still an 88, or a 95 / 98 / 103 / etc...???....

What your static compression ratio?

How did you end up with head work & stock cams?

Who did the heads & what was their recommendation?

Stay away from the 211. Had it on my 2005 Ultra and there is NO low end to this cam, it's all high end RMP and the 88 and the 95 have a hard time with it. Lots of engine knock with this cam unless you keep your RPM's high. Even with a DYNO I still had some knocking, even worse when ithe weather is hot. I will never run a 211 again.

Oh I'm sorry it is still an 88 in. with 9000 miles. I bought it used from a guy who was getting a divorce. Poor guy. But he wasn't happy about selling it and had a hard time finding out who did the head work. But I was told by the Stealer that it had to have had head work to run 76 hp and 79 fpt. Who else makes good cams? Looked at Andrews cams ( Tw26a).

Sounds like nobody is sure about head work being done. And why would you do head work with no new cams? You won't know until you pull them and look. I had an 03' RK 95" before and ran the 204 cams, sweet running bike.

I have some SE203's with tensioners and other parts needed for sale in the classifieds. The SE203 and SE204s are very similiar. I have SE203s in my scoot and WOW! Great power for a bolt in cam! Check it out.
