Just finished installing a set of Fin head bolt covers. Looked simple enough in the box but I was about to tear the gas tank off to get the front screw of the rear cover installed. Looks great but now need to get out the S100 engine brightener. The instructions have you install the front first and I can see why. If you started with the rear you would probably take it back for a refund!!!!

You must not have been holding your mouth right. I didn't think it was difficult. Check the screws ocassionally. They sometimes come loose and create a rattle that increases your pucker factor.

They look good! I've looked at these ones and ended up buying the chrome ones. I'm a chromaholic. <g>
Yeah, check the bolts from time to time, they have a tendency to get loose and rattle.
Oh and try Pig Spit for yer black engine. Same stuff as Pig Snot, just a different name. You can find it at Walmart. As good as S100 and cheaper.

You're killing me!!!! I'm a chrome junkie as well and if I would have known those were available I would have jumped on them. It all started just looking for chrome bolt caps and the tech at one of the shops showed me what I got. And thanks for the tip on the pig spit. Bought a gallon of S100 cleaner last year and as I recall it was about $40.00. I still have some and their engine brightener.

Sorry, dude, I didn't mean to trigger buyer remorse. <wink>
One of my riding buddies has the finned ones like yours so I could check them before buying mine. They looked too "Victoryish" to me, meaning that they make the jugs look higher. Not saying they're not nice but I prefer the contrast created by the chrome ones.
Oh well ............. if you decide to switch, you know there's a classifieds section here, do you? lol
