oil leak

It was the shift shaft seal just like a few of you said. And they found something wrong with a bushing and bearing when they pulled the clutch so thats getting fixed too .All for $50 ,, was able to take a look at it today so took a pic with my phone ..

I had a very simular problem on my 07 Road King. After long rides it would leave a couple of drips on the garage floor. Slowly it was getting worse, to a point that it was blowing on my exhaust and staining it. Today I tore the bike apart by removing the primary case. My leak was from the primary main seal. Between the primary case and transmission. Just under the starter. Behind the clutch. The 3 seals that you need to replace, for a complete job, on the back side of the primary case cost just over $20. Plus fresh oil, a primary cover gasket if you choose (about $40). My labor quote for a shop to was about 2 1/2 hours, so your paying mostly all labor. This is a fairly easy job if your mechanical. Couple of special tools needed. Buy a repair manual.
I hope I solved the problem today. Rain Rain Rain so no test ride. It was quite clear where the leak was coming from once the primary case was off. HD service was nice enough to pull the old seal and press in the new one.
