On the box my 940 came in it states "Featuring- Edelbrock/Ricor I.A.S. technology", and a patent #. I'm guessing Ricor has something to do with the manufacturing of these shocks.
Welcome to the world of aftermarket shocks. You don't realize how bad the OEMs are until you swap them out. An expensive investment but well worth it! Congrats for pulling the trigger and the new handling ride. It's hard to explain just how much better the bike rides with them on.
I have a couple k on my 940s now and do like them but now wished I would have got the standard springs. I'm about 220 and carry about a hundred pounds of crap with me, two bags and spare parts and tools.

Im 200 and have the 440 std springs, I ended up buying the hd springs because I was bottoming out a lot with a tour pack.
Im in Love !!! My bike rides and handles so much better now. If your on the fence about getting new shocks, Due. The Harley shocks are a POS.. I cant get this smile off my face. These shocks adjust from stiff to soft. There is a lot of new road construction around my house and now my bike earned its right to be called a Street "Glide" It just glides over the bumps now. Before it would beat your brains out.
Ok, I need some help here. I have a street glide. With me and the wife and the bike loaded down- and the standard shocks at about 45 PSI - the ride is good- we don't bottom out unless a really big bump. I would love to lower the front too and improve the ride, sure. But will i really see a difference? A few questions -
Wife and I are about 450 total - I assume we need HD?
Will the ride really be better? How much better? Is it like a car where you barely feel the potholes or what? Please describe this better for me.
My bike had the stock HD air shocks on long welded on nuts, they were welded onto the underneath of the swing arm and when I installed the 416 progressives to those nuts they bottomed out steady and I realized they need to go to the stock threaded holes. Well when all was said and done the rear was higher and the ride was much better for cornering. Not sure if this helpd you or not as its not the front I adjusted but in a way it was.
If your considering progressives they have a deal on for rear shocks and front springs that would probably give a great ride.
