No it's best to "bite down hard"; pay the piper and then let the rest of us know which dealer to STAY AWAY FROM.

Ride In Peace
If you're referring to me, I don't work at a dealer anymore, and when I did we always put the customer first, especially the travelling ones. we would take parts off sales Dept. bikes to get them back on the road if we didn't have them in stock, but I have also seen bikes break due to lack of maintainence. At what point is the dealer not responcible? Like Dawg said, this is just one side of the story, and I find it very difficult to believe that a tech could split an axle if it was installed correclty the last time it was put in. If anything, the guy should be pissed at the last person that worked on it, in this case it could've even been him. I also say that if the tech was beating on it that hard to begin with than he should've went to his service manager and reported on it, but we all know what the outcome would've been, the customer would've said do what you have to and when it broke he would've been pissed anyway and the end result would have been the same.

Second go ahead and try that back in the shop and see how many of the other mechanics punch you back in the got damn face before somebody drags you out of there!
LOL;
Agreed, go ahead and come into a shop and give that a whirl. Bet you would be leaving with the bike wrapped around your neck.
