Thanks to Pat Rogers Harley Davidson in Concord NC
A couple of weeks ago my friends and I took a ride and half way through it my clutch started slipping. We were just coming out of a curve that I had shifted down for and when I hit sixth the rpms went up about 500 to 600 rpms. The clutch handle seemed to be stiff with no play. I usually keep about an eighth to a sixteenth inch play in the handle. I stopped to adjust it but it didn't help. I got it home and after it cooled down it pulled the derby cover and could smell the burnt clutches but tried to adjust the clutch rod anyway but it was no help. Took make a long story short I took the MC to Pat Rogers and they informed me that the clutches aren't a warranty item but would look at them and let me know what they found. The clutches were bad of course and after talking to HD (HD wouldn't cover it) Pat Rogers stepped up to the plate and covered the work for me. They are even installing Screamin Eagle clutche pack and spring for just the difference in cost. I am extremely pleased and let them know how I felt... MC is a 2010 Ultra with 12,000 miles on it. I bought it in Sept 09. I have taken a trip to NM and Tx last Oct and another trip to AZ this past April so most of the miles are hwy. There isn't a whole lot of clutch time on the clutches. Thanks again for Pat Rogers HD!!
Glad to hear the dealer took care of you. Did the tech find any reason that caused clutch failure, at only 12K? The clutch should last a lot longer than that IMO.

Picked up my bike today and the clutch feels excellent, they replaced the original clutch with a screamin eagle clutch kit and spring. It feels completely different and I actually have some clutch resistance now. Man am I happy!! No explanation as to what happened.
I looked all over the internet for Harley Deluxe chaps, and Pat Rogers HD had the best price by far. I ordered them and a T shirt and had them in a couple of days. Great to talk to on the phone and great service. When I visit NC, I'll stop in for sure.
