keep in mind, there is no such thing as having too many straps, in my opinion.

Don't mind at all.

I run the front wheel into a condor chock. I run a strap around the condor to keep the front wheel secure in the chock. Then I use the welded up bar with the straps pulling slightly forward.

I have towed thousand of mile with this set-up with no damage ever.
