Does anybody know who manufacters the hybrid helmets for HD? I am looking for a good quality half helmet and cant find many options out there. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I don't know anything about hybrids. Good quality 1/2, HJC. I just bounced mine in a wreck. Head is fine bike might be totaled. I will be ordering another one.
Bought the better half a 3/4 Hybrid last winter, loved it, so light you can't hardly feel it. So I found me one that I liked, guess what..... not available anymore in that pattern. So I checked everywhere, finally HD found me one in Nebraska, but wrong size. To shorten this month long story...I called KBC, they said they only made that Hybrid for HD and was not available as a KBC brand. So now I switched to a 1/2 helmet and found a hybrid that fit and bought it. Only weighs a little over 1 lb and feels good.
I know that the Harley Half Helmet with the built in visor is manufactured by HJC. The HJC version is EXACTLY the same except it has HJC on the front and doesnt have the Harley emblems on the side.
Thanks for the responses. There is something about that hybrid that makes it feel like it actually fits "around" the head instead of just resting on the top. I tried a friends for about an hour and was suprised it didnt feel like a parachute on top of my head. Living in Florida, most dealers dont carry a large selection of helmets, and if they do, they are generally the less expensive ones.

I just looked it up. It doesn't even have a zip out neck curtain! HJC
I just bought a HD Ecto Hybrid 1/2 helmet. It is so light I tend to forget that I even have it on. It fits much deeper than my Shoei St-Cruz 1/2. WARNING -- the sizes tend to run a wee bit small. I wear a large which is smaller than the Shoei large. It fits me well without excessive pressure points. Well worth the $200 bills. It doesn't have a neck curtain for cool/cold weather riding. It is made by KBC. See the sales ad -- Hybrid fiberglass and AramidŽ shell is produced through a new process that results in a 17% lighter shell than traditional fiberglass shells. Double D-ring chin strap. Soft inner lining with removable, washable comfort liner is moisture wicking and anti-microbial. Removable shortie visor. Replacement tinted face shield and visor available. Fits P&A helmet headset and Road Tech™ Helmet Headset with BluetoothŽ 2.0 Technology (P/N 98272-09VM) using the Helmet Communication Pouch (P/N 98252-07V). Helmet bag included. Custom graphics. Meets DOT requirements. KBCŽ, 1 lb. 6 oz. Available in red or grey flames.
