I am using HogTunes and the stock HD radion (Ultra), so the CD and CB are part of the system. As for pods...I'd think you could get an Ultra pod set up...maybe a wrecking yard or order it from the dealer.
Ed,
Yes I have the Ultra radio with CD IC AM/FM WB and CB. I also installed an XM. I just replaced all 4 speakers with the Hogtunes. I highly recommend them. I am also very happy with the Ultra radio and am glad I bought the bike already set up. I think you would be happy with it if you decide to go that way, it just seems way overpriced to me when I look at the prices in the catalog. I don't have any experience with aftermarket audio equipment for motorcycles. Every bike I have ever had that had a radio or IC on it came that way.
I would check http://eglidegoodies.com/ They have some options that might be suitable.
apologies, been out of town. I have a custom, failed to mention that, so no I don't have an ultra radio. I know that I am going to purchase the hog speakers for the fronts, but was wondering about the rears like the ultra has and possibly an intercom. I looked at eglides.com that was posted and they have a rear 6.5" rear set up, but w/o volume control.

I installed the ultra radio and overlay harness for intercom and rear speakers.
