Question Build Sheet,cost, dyno numbers

I've been trying to figure out what to do with my motorcycle (2010 Ultra) and am almost completely confused, there are just too many options and parts. I am looking for at least 100 hp and 100 ftlbs of tq but don't want to spend more than I can afford. I think there is a dollar per hp/tq amount that must significantly increase after a certain level, something like it costs $10 per 1hp and 1 ftlb of tq until you get over 100/100 then it goes to $15 per 1 hp and 1 ftlb of tq. I have been looking at the S&S 106 kit and having my heads done by someone and putting in a TMAN 625 cam. Then I see the HD Stage IV kit and putting in the TMAN 625 cam (ACRs is a contributing factor). The money is about the same and the stage IV kit has the 58mm throttle body and bigger injectors and I could still buy the S&S 106 kit and sell the 103 cylinders and pistons. Are their any inputs or ideas???

S&S 106 KIT Eastern Performance $599.00
TR-625G CAM T MAN PERFORMANCE $345.00
Stage 1 Street Performer Heads T MAN PERFORMANCE $869.00
Manual Compression Releases T MAN PERFORMANCE $92.00
KIT, TAPPETS, XL/TC88 18572-07 Chicago harley Davidson 216
KIT, TAPERED ADJUSTABLE PUSHRODS 18404-08 Chicago harley Davidson $132.00
Screamin Eagle Pro Super Tuner EBAY $360.00
Harley Davidson Rocker Box Gasket Kit ss001-00 EBAY $15.00
total $2,628.00

KIT, TAPPETS, XL/TC88 18572-07 Chicago harley Davidson $216.00
KIT, TAPERED ADJUSTABLE PUSHRODS 18404-08 Chicago harley Davidson $132.00
ST4 1690 RACE KIT, TBW, BLACK (Stage IV) 27517-08A Chicago harley Davidson $1,920.00
Automatic Compression Release 28861-07A (2) Chicago harley Davidson $56.00
Screamin' EagleŽ ACR Tool 94048-09 Chicago harley Davidson $32.00
TR-625G CAM T MAN PERFORMANCE $345.00

Well, by your calculations at $10 per HP...and your totals average $2650...I think you're going to be terribly disappointed.
I just don't see your bike making 265 HP with either of these combos.

I think you'd do better by contacting a company and getting their recommendations.
Head-Quarters
TMan
Hillside
GMR
To name a few.

Here's my $2200 95" build, all with HD parts. I wouldn't think you would have any trouble getting to 100hp with a BB, headwork & cams. There's more in mine, but it was tuned for rideability, not max power. I'm also running True Duals, which hurts performance.

I was confussed also with to many recomendations, so I just went with the "HD SE 103 Stage IV kit".

Jims is going to come out with a complete 120 motor (through HD) this summer then you could sell yours and recoup 1/2 the cost too.

Cool My cost per HP/TQ was just an example

I was just using the numbers as an example. I have an idea about what I want and am just trying to get a handle on what I need to do to get there. I was trying to get an idea of what I needed to spend to get where I wanted to be and get the best build for the money without doing it two or three times. I also wanted to see the real numbers instead of the "best" numbers. I would imagine the advertised numbers are the best numbers a certain build got and not the "Your results may vary." numbers on someones website. Did get a lot of looks but not a lot of informational replies though.

It appears that you're dead set on a TMAN cam.
In that case, I would think the best person to ask about a combo...would be TMAN.
You can't just go throwing parts at a motor and expect it to be functional/rideable.
You need proven parts that work with each other.
And since you're so set on the TMAN cam, TMAN is who you need to talk to.
As far as money goes, you're in the ballpark with most any combo at $2700 dollars.

A good person to talk to about TMAN products would be forum member, PhilM.
Shoot him a PM.
Pick his brain.

Best IMHO go with GMR 107 and andrews 54 cam. 9.8 compression for 2400.00 D&D fat cat with QB. use a TTS tuner or sest. Makes a bagger into a john deer tractor. Assure you 100 ft lb torque at 2200 and TQ flatlines to 6K.

Not a dyno queen just a reliable build that will run on pump gas all day long. Mine tuned and dyno at 109 hp at 4200 and 111 TQ at 3700

Smart man! Those are great numbers and the numbers are where you need them to ride the bike. Cost is amazingly reasonable as well.
